1. How to turn it off? It’s very simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open the “Settings” app on your Apple Watch \u2192 Go to “General” \u2192 Find “Background App Refresh”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Actual Apple Watch Series 1 battery test results: From 8 hours to 24 hours<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After disabling background app refresh for the first time, I specifically conducted a full battery life test:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I removed the watch from the charger at 7 AM, fully charged. I received notifications normally, occasionally checked the time, and raised my wrist to check the time about 20-30 times a day. What surprised me even more was that after disabling background refresh, the watch’s operation became even smoother\u2014the processor didn’t need to frequently switch between background tasks and foreground responses, making everyday swiping and app opening significantly faster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Power-saving tips for combined use (the effects are even more amazing)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enable Low Power Mode: Control Center \u2192 Tap Apple Watch Series 1 Battery <\/strong>Percentage \u2192 Turn On.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disable Raise to Wake: Settings \u2192 Display & Brightness \u2192 Turn off Raise to Wake and set the wake-up duration to 15 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enable optimized battery charging for your Apple Watch Series 1: Go to Settings \u2192 Battery \u2192 Battery Health \u2192 turn on “Optimize Battery Charging”. This allows the watch to learn your charging habits and avoid prolonged full charging, thus extending battery life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The biggest culprit for battery drain on the Apple Watch Series 1 isn’t excessive screen brightness, but the master switch hidden in “General \u2192 Background App Refresh”\u2014turning it off won’t affect message reception, and it triples the Apple Watch Series 1 Smart Watch Battery<\/a><\/strong>  life.
