Sony SRS-XV500 speaker review

The Sony SRS-XV500 is a wireless party speaker with built-in RGB lighting. Officially, it boasts a battery life of up to 25 hours. If that’s not enough for an all-night party, it also features two instrument inputs for connecting a microphone or even a guitar. It also comes with karaoke-friendly controls such as key switching, echo, and volume knobs for each input.

It boasts loud, rich sound, powerful EQ customization options, and a MEGA BASS button for taking bass to new heights. The Sony XV500 is excellent for playing videos and movies. Its volume is loud enough to fill your living room, and its powerful bass adds to the cinematic experience.

The Sony XV500 is a wireless,

Sony SRS-XV500 Bluetooth Speaker Battery

featuring customizable sound effects and RGB lighting. It follows in the footsteps of the brand’s previous party speakers, including the Sony SRS-XP500 and Sony SRS-XP700. It has similar features to the XP500 and offers similar performance in most situations, but the XV500 exhibits noticeably fewer audio-visual synchronization errors. Those who require more volume with less compression at maximum volume should consider the more powerful Sony SRS-XP700. That said, around the Sony XV500’s price point, the popular JBL PartyBox 310 still offers the loudest and cleanest sound, though their performance is otherwise very similar. It’s IPX4 certified for water resistance, so it can withstand splashes. This speaker has a bass-forward presence, ensuring that drums and bass lines will shake the floor when playing club tracks or hip-hop anthems. The bass isn’t as deep or extended as the similarly sized JBL PartyBox Club 120. However, it’s still relatively balanced across the frequency range, clearly reproducing the finest details of vocals and lead instruments.Sony SRS-XV500 Bluetooth Speaker Battery

Battery life is excellent. The manufacturer advertises 25 hours of playback, and while we didn’t reach that figure in our testing, we still managed a respectable 14 hours. We don’t know the specific conditions Sony uses to test the speaker’s battery life. However, many factors can affect battery life, including the use of the RGB lighting or MEGA BASS features, as well as volume levels. We tested at a volume of 16 (80 dB), with the MEGA BASS setting enabled and the lighting turned off. The speaker also has several features that help conserve battery life. An auto-off function turns the speaker off after 15 minutes of inactivity. Additionally, a “Stamina” mode disables the lighting and unnecessary sound features to maximize Sony SRS-XV500 Bluetooth Speaker Batterylife

Sony Ult Field 7 Bluetooth speaker review

This is a large Bluetooth speaker without many bells and whistles—no Wi-Fi, built-in smart assistant, or spatial audio. Its most unique features are RGB lighting and a 1/4-inch microphone or guitar input. The Ult Field 7 delivers loud volume, powerful bass, and a cool look—it’s a party speaker.

The Sony ULT Field 7 is a powerful Bluetooth speaker with a built-in rechargeable battery.Sony ULT Field 7 Bluetooth Speaker BatteryHere are the key battery info:

While it’s certainly overkill for casual music listening at home, the Sony Ult Field 7 is a great speaker for large gatherings, both indoors and outdoors. The Field 7 boasts exceptional battery life. Beneath its mesh fabric grille are four speakers: two 114mm woofers and two 46mm tweeters. It’s loud—turn the volume up to full in the living room, and music can be heard clearly throughout a 1,200-square-foot house. Sony SRS-XE200 speaker review

The Sony SRS-XE200 is a compact and portable Bluetooth speaker with a unique pentagonal design. It comes with a detachable shoulder strap, making it easy to carry your favorite music, podcasts, and audiobooks. It’s equipped with Sony’s ClearAudio+ technology, which the manufacturer claims detects audio and adjusts the speaker’s soundstage based on what you’re listening to. This versatile speaker is also compatible with Siri and Google Assistant via a paired smartphone, a useful feature if you prefer voice assistants. It comes in four colors, allowing you to choose one that suits your style. TheSony SRS-XE200 Bluetooth Speakers Battery

Battery life is excellent. Although advertised as approximately 16 hours of use on a single charge, in our testing, the Sony SRS-XE200 speaker batterylasted over 14 hours, which is still excellent.

The Sony SRS-XE200 performs well for music. With ClearAudio+ enabled by default, the sound is quite rich, but the lack of treble emphasis can cause high-pitched vocals and instruments to sound a bit muffled. The Sony SRS-XE200 is well-built and feels substantial, clad in fabric and silicone. It’s IP67-rated for dust and water resistance, meaning it’s certified dustproof and can withstand immersion in up to one meter of water for up to 30 minutes, so you can take it out without worrying about dust or moisture.

While the Sony XE200 doesn’t have an IK shock rating, the manufacturer claims it can withstand multiple drops, bumps, and scratches. It has a sturdy rubber cover to protect the ports and a carrying strap for easy portability.

Sony also offers a power-saving feature called “Auto Standby” in its companion app. You can enable this feature to automatically shut off after 15 minutes of inactivity.Sony SRS-XE200 Bluetooth Speakers BatteryThe Sony Music Center app for the Sony SRS-XE200 is excellent. It features a graphic equalizer, allowing you to customize its sound profile to your liking. You can use the app to set the speaker to mono or stereo mode, and you can also use it to create a stereo pair with other compatible speakers. You can also connect the speaker to multiple other speakers when you want to amplify the audio to a larger area in Party Mode.

You can enable “Stamina” mode in the app, which reduces the bass in the audio when the battery is low to extend the speaker’s battery life.

The “Battery Care” feature reduces the battery life to 90% after a full charge to protect and optimize the long-term performance of the Sony SRS-XE200 Bluetooth Speakers Battery

You can also enable “Auto Standby” mode, which automatically turns off the Sony XE200 after 15 minutes of inactivity.

JBL Flip 7 Review: Big Sound in a Small Package

The JBL Flip 7 is a case in point. At first glance, it looks like a regular speaker. But it’s not only lighter than its predecessor, it’s also more durable, with stronger bass and a redesigned tweeter. The result is a speaker that outperforms its peers, delivering loud, clear sound that rivals devices costing twice as much

The JBL Flip 7 packs premium sound into a compact, durable package Lightweight, ultra-durable design Small in size, but big in sound Unlimited audio sharing with Auracast

JBL Flip 7 Speaker Battery

Long Life

JBL built this powerful portable speaker to be incredibly rugged. Not only is the Flip 7 waterproof (safe in 1 meter (3 feet) of fresh water for 30 minutes), the IP68-certified speaker is also dust and drop resistant (safe to 1 meter on concrete or hardwood floors). This rating makes the Flip 7 one of the most durable portable speakers on the market, so you can be confident it can withstand some scrapes and scrapes.

Features

All of the Flip 7’s features are accessible through the free JBL Portable app. It’s less feature-rich than other companion apps. It comes with an equalizer with four presets and supports creating your own sound effects with custom options. You can also interact with PlaytimeBoost through the JBL Portable, which disables the equalizer while boosting the volume, thereby extending the

JBL Flip 7 Speaker Battery life of the JBL Flip 7 speaker. The Flip 7 is also one of the latest devices to launch Auracast technology, a new way to share audio across devices. An Auracast device consists of a transmitter, receiver, and assistant that can share audio with an unlimited number of compatible devices within range. It’s like an AM or FM radio, but using Bluetooth. With Auracast, the Flip 7 can connect with another Flip 7 and create a wider stereo field through the PartyTogether feature. This feature can play playlists to an unlimited number of Auracast receivers at the same time. I found that I could do some mixing and matching, as I successfully bridged a Flip 7 and a Charge 6 using PartyTogether.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>5200mAh GSP-1S2P-F6D Battery Replacement For JBL Flip 6

The JBL Flip 6 has an IP67 rating and up to 12 hours of battery life

The JBL Flip 6 has 20 watts of power, an IP67 waterproof housing, and a PartyBoost feature that lets you combine multiple speakers into one. The device connects via Bluetooth 5.1. The speaker lasts up to 12 hours on a single charge. The JBL Flip 6 charges via a USB-C port. The device is controlled by a built-in button and a smartphone app.

The Flip 6 remains an excellent five-star speaker in its own right, according to our comparison tests. As such, it remains a featured product in our guide to the best outdoor speakers.

Yes, it may look like a long tube, but don’t underestimate its ability to come with an impressive spec sheet that makes it highly competitive in terms of sound,JBL Flip 6 bluetooth Speaker Battery

life, and construction.

The JBL Flip 6 has a burrito-shaped speaker with excellent bass. So, we said in our review:

The upgrade in sound quality in terms of clarity and frequency width is obvious, and if you want richer mids and less treble, for example, you can adjust this in the app. There is indeed more detail. The Flip 6 is also capable of outdoor use, thanks to its impressive IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.

Last but not least, it has up to 12 hours ofJBL Flip 6 bluetooth Speaker Battery life, which means you can enjoy the speaker through a full day of barbecues or pool parties.

A good choice for those who are looking for a solid Bluetooth speaker. The biggest thorn in the side of the Flip 6 is JBL’s five-star Charge 5 – another larger, more powerful portable Bluetooth speaker with longerJBL Flip 6 bluetooth Speaker Battery life (20 hours versus 12 hours), the ability to charge your phone, and a larger sound all mean that the 2022 award-winning Charge 5 is our top pick in a direct comparison.

But many people prefer the thin JBL Flip 6 to the beefy Charge 5 and are perfectly happy with all of its features. Considering the price, we still highly recommend this excellent Flip 6.

JBL Go 2 speakers: full review and opinion

JBL Go 2 Mini Speaker, Benefits and Models

If you don’t already have a Bluetooth speaker, the JBL Go 2 is a great value for money, but it’s not. And that’s exactly what makes it so appealing. Its plastic is so sturdy that you don’t have to worry if the speaker falls (just don’t throw it against the wall). The JBL Go 2 is also 100% waterproof.JBL Go 2 Bluetooth Speakers Battery

Battery life: Go 2: about 5 hours (50% volume). Go 2H: about 6-8 hours (with increased battery capacity). Charging speed: The Type-C port of the Go 2H allows for faster charging (about 30% faster than Micro-USB in actual measurements).

The Go 2 has slightly lower power, but the new model has improved bass rendering. Battery life is exactly the same. On the other hand, the USB-C charging feature of the Go 3 has a significant impact on the charging speed of the device (charging time is reduced by 1 hour). Therefore,

JBL Go 2 Speaker Battery

Charging time is less than 2 hours.JBL Go 2 Bluetooth Speakers Battery

Up to 5 hours of battery life

In addition, this product is very suitable for small children, especially when taking them everywhere to play. Be careful, though, because it can be easily lost.

JBL Go 2 Audio Features

Micro USB Cable Sound quality is crucial, especially for these miniature speakers. One problem that often occurs with overly “cheap” speakers is that the sound they produce is sometimes too harsh and piercing. In fact, they have too many highs, which is common on speakers with a diameter of only a few centimeters. But know that this is not the case with these mini JBL speakers (including the Go 2 and Go 3 models). Even at maximum volume, our ears feel very comfortable.

As for the bass, it is obviously very limited. On the other hand, we were pleasantly surprised by the rendering effect of the Go 3. We can really appreciate the wider frequency response range, so the music sounds more complete and full, especially in terms of bass reproduction. The difference between the two is not noticeable at first glance, but it is real. How to charge the JBL Go 2 speaker battery Yes, because this speaker does not come with a wall charger. Only the charging cable is included in the box.

Don’t worry, you can still charge the speaker using a wall socket if you have a standard adapter. You can also charge it directly through a USB port. For example, you can charge the JBL Go 2 Bluetooth Speakers

JBL Charge 5 review The Goldilocks of portable Bluetooth speakers.

The JBL Charge 5 is a portable and rugged Bluetooth speaker that ticks all the boxes. With a solid build, long

JBL Charge 5 batterylife, and decent power output, the Charge 5 is a reliable companion for sonic adventures. When it comes to waterproof JBL Charge 5 Bluetooth speakers, JBL is America’s darling. The company launches several new products every year, and in theory, they keep getting better. The latest addition to the Charge family is the JBL Charge 5. It has all the hallmarks of a premium JBL speaker, but is it worth the price increase from the JBL Charge 4? The JBL Charge 5 is about the same shape and weight as a football. The device is wrapped in durable fabric, and there are silicone bumpers on the sides to protect its passive radiators. There are also rubberized silicone strips on the bottom of the case to keep it in place while you play music. It’s safe to say that the Charge 5 is ready for your next beach vacation or weekend camping trip.
JBL Charge 5 Bluetooth Speaker Battery
How long does it last?JBL says the Charge 5 can play for 20 hours on a single charge. Sadly, it doesn’t offer fast charging. While this speaker is advertised as portable, it won’t fit in your pocket – if you want something like that, buy the JBL Clip 4. The Charge 5 is surprisingly lightweight, so it won’t weigh you down on a hike or trip to the beach if you can find a place to put it. The speaker has onboard controls, and while it doesn’t have a button for skipping tracks backward, double-tapping the play button will skip forward.
The device has a USB-C charging port and a USB-A socket on the back for charging the device in the field. Some people don’t trust the water resistance promised by the IP rating, and we don’t blame them. The Charge 5 is officially rated IP67 for water resistance, which means it’s dustproof and can survive being submerged in 1 meter of tap water for up to 30 minutes – which matched our experience. Even when the Charge 5 was firmly submerged in a bucket of water, it sounded just as good as when it was dry – make sure

Our Executive Editor Chris Thomas once used a pair of JBL Charge 3 speakers to DJ at a small wedding—there’s no doubt that the Charge 5 can do the job!

JBL Flip 7: 5 things we expect from JBL’s next-generation portable Bluetooth speaker

Given the above, 2024 is already well underway, so it’s reasonable to assume that the Flip 7 is on the way. Perhaps JBL is taking its time to make sure this future product is as good as it can be. 1. More forgiving sound

Frankly, we wouldn’t drastically change the sound of the current Flip 6. It’s lively, full, and vibrant, and the audio profile feels alive and musical. Things aren’t perfect, though.

We noted in our review that while the Flip 5 was fairly forgiving and easygoing in the high frequencies, the Flip 6 “definitely exposes some harshness in recordings.” We could say that this “honesty” of sound could be smoothed out at the high end for a truly balanced, consistently enjoyable listening experience when the new model eventually arrives.

1. Improve JBL Flip battery life

This is a no-brainer. Maybe they hit on the right numbers, but the Flip series has had a combined battery life of 12 hours over the past three generations (JBL Flip 4 battery,JBL Flip 5 battery)

The possible danger is that JBL would have to make the whole device bigger to accommodate a bigger battery, which would significantly improve these numbers. Still, any increase in JBL Flip 7 battery

life would be welcome, especially given that this has been an area of stagnation for the entire series.

2. Other nifty features

The Flip 6 isn’t badly feature-rich, but it’s not quite there yet. There’s room for improvement, and considering JBL is bringing Auracast to many of its upcoming models, including the cheaper, smaller Go 4 and Clip 5 models, we’d like to see the seventh-generation Flip make it, too.

This doesn’t have to be the end. Rival Ultimate Ears’ “Outdoor Boost” is a handy way to boost the sound of your speakers when you’re not indoors (see Epicboom), and the Flip 7 models could adopt a similar version of that. We also lamented the fact that you couldn’t use the Flip 6 to make calls (no built-in mic, sadly) and that there was no 3.5mm aux input for wired listening when the battery died, so these are new additions we’re happy to see. After all, aux inputs aren’t going away, are they?!

3. Optimizing the design

There are some parts of the Flip series that can’t really be changed. For example, going larger is not recommended, as it would go against its portable design philosophy, and any smaller size would affect the size of the drivers used in the Flip. If you want a larger speaker (and more performance), you can always opt for the Charge 5 or Xtreme 3.

That’s not to say the Flip 6’s design can’t be improved. There’s a chance that the entire series is getting a little stale, so perhaps some visual and practical tweaks, like more device controls or more exciting colorways, would add some visual flair to an already pleasing composition. The device’s IP rating isn’t perfect – the Flip 6’s IPX7 rating doesn’t account for dust getting into the device, so a design change to allow it to be IP67 (or similar) certified would be desirable, especially for peace of mind when users take the Flip 7 to the beach.

4. Fast JBL Flip battery charging would be a boost

If the current battery life is perfectly judged and we don’t have more time here, can we reduce the time it takes to charge the battery of JBL Flip 7 Bluetooth speaker? The Flip 6’s 2.5-hour total  JBL Flip 6 batterycharge time isn’t ideal when you just want to wake up and listen to your favorite music, so being able to get an hour or two of use from just 10-minute bursts can be very convenient.

Sony ULT Field 7 review: A great-sounding, rugged party speaker

Sony’s Bluetooth speaker lineup is pretty extensive. There’s the wheeled speaker SRS-XV900, which delivers thunderous omnidirectional sound. Spatial audio enthusiasts can opt for the lavish SRS-RA5000, which delivers room-scale 3D sound with 360 Reality Audio. Budget-conscious buyers can even opt for the SRS-XB100, a fantastic compact speaker that has great bass for its size and is one of the best cheap Bluetooth speakers.
With so many great options, Sony leaned in to launch another speaker line under the recently announced ULT Power Sound series. Three new speaker models were introduced: the entry-level ULT Field 1, the chunky midrange ULT Field 7, and the flagship ULT Field 10. There’s also a pair of ULT Wear headphones in the series. All products are designed to emphasize bass levels with a ULT button that boosts audio output.Sony ULT Field 7 Bluetooth Speakers BatteryLife (Rated): 30 hoursConnectivity: Bluetooth 5.2 with SBC, AAC, and LDACDurability: IP67-ratedLike some of Sony’s best headphones, the ULT Field 7 showcases top-notch craftsmanship. The cylindrical design is wrapped in hard plastic and a sturdy mesh weave for a look that’s both beautiful and durable. The IP67 certification means the speaker can withstand dust and high water pressure. The passive radiators are recessed on each side. Details like the buttons and Sony logo are well revealed. Most impressive is the rear compartment, which is flush when closed and hides a ton of features (more on that later).
You can use the handle to take the speaker anywhere you want. However, the speaker is large and heavy (14 pounds), so it’s not exactly a breeze to carry around.
Sony ULT FIELD 7 Review: Controls and Connectivity Useful quick controls and inputs on the speakerGuitar and mic supportEasy wireless connectivityLet’s start with the top module, which houses six buttons: Power On/Off, Bluetooth, Play/Pause, Volume -, Volume +, and ULT. Most of the buttons are embossed and easy to spot, while the ULT button is round and enables Sony’s two bass-boosting modes. They all have a solid tactile feel and respond instantly to single/multi-press gestures.
There’s a compartment on the back with buttons for toggling the LED and Sony   ULT Field 7   bluetooth speakersbattery-saving modes, as well as karaoke features like Echo and Key Control for adjusting the tone. The guitar button indicates whether you’re using a guitar or a mic when the speaker is plugged in. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack, AC connector, gain knob, guitar quarter-inch mic/guitar input, and a USB-A port for connecting the speaker to any desktop setup or charging a portable device. The buttons and ports work well.
Here I tested the ULT Field 7 speaker, and on first impression it looks like a big portable speaker that’s just as expensive. Powerful sound and interesting features, plus a huge, nearly indestructible case, are features that help mask the high MSRP. Scroll down to read my full review to see if the Sony ULT Field 7 is worth the investment. Loud, room-filling soundULT modes hit or missSound field optimization worksThe bass is Sony’s forte, and there’s enough bass to satisfy most listening environments. The X-Balanced speaker unit combines with a passive radiator and two tweeters to produce a loud, spacious sound that doesn’t compromise on frequency range, at least not when the special modes are disabled. One of the biggest selling points of the series is the ULT button, which enables different sound modes: ULT1 for a deep low-pass range and ULT 2 for an emphasis on sound pressure. These effects are positive for some tracks and detrimental for others. I liked the tight sound of the bass drum and snare drum on Torii Wolf’s “Everlasting Peace,” but was disappointed by the overly loud resonance that muted the frequencies on Tame Impala’s “New Person, Same Old Mistakes.”
Audio performance was best when Soundstage Optimization was turned on in the companion app. This automatically scans your environment for ambient noise and adjusts the sound on the fly, and it worked surprisingly well. I placed the speaker on my balcony, where there’s all sorts of incidental noise (eg, air conditioning units, landscaping, fountain splashing), and this feature improved clarity.
LDAC enables smooth playback on the best music streaming services. I’d really like to see 360 Reality Audio here, especially when used with optimized Tidal tracks.
In settings, you’ll find lighting, power, and sound modes. Lighting has 10 selectable lighting sequences. Power options offer a variety of choices for extending  Sony  bluetooth speakers  battery life. Two ULT modes can be toggled in the Sound Effects field, along with custom EQ and Soundstage Optimization. When streaming, you can choose to prioritize sound quality or connectivity. DJs can create mixes using the isolator and flanger settings, though neither setting adds much to the listening experience.
The home page has a  Sony   ULT Field 7   bluetooth speakers battery level indicator, a volume slider, and shortcuts to popular streaming platforms. You can access your personal music catalog in My Library. Audio input and USB let you control playback on plugged-in devices. Finally, you can group other ULT Field 7 speakers together for true stereo sound, or connect up to 100 compatible speakers to sync music (and lighting) via Party Connect.
Sony’s Fiestable app works with the speakers to add sound effects, adjust lighting and karaoke modes, and mirror the sound system’s lighting effects on your phone’s display. It will appeal mainly to DJs and party hosts who want to liven up the party atmosphere
Sony ULT FIELD 7 Review: Sony ULT Field 7 Bluetooth Speakers Battery LifeSony ULT Field 7 by the pool with reviewer Alex Bracetti
One of the longest-lasting Bluetooth speakers on the marketOnboard features can seriously eat into the Sony ULT Field 7 Bluetooth Speakers Battery lifeUSB port can be used to charge portable devicesSony rates the Sony  ULT Field 7  bluetooth speakers battery life at 30 hours. This means the ULT Field 7 outlasts other bass-heavy behemoths, such as the JBL PartyBox Stage 320 (18 hours) and the UE Hyperboom (24 hours), while offering the same playtime as some smaller speakers, such as the Tribit Stormbox Flow. One caveat, though: Volume must be kept at around 25%, with both the LED and ULT mode disabled. Enabling the latter may reduce battery life to around 7 hours.
After testing, this speaker lasts about 15 hours, taking into account the special features and volume. That’s enough for two weekend parties (4-5 hours per day) and charging a smartphone. There are two power saving modes –Sony Bluetooth Speakers Battery Care, which suppresses the charge to 90%, and Stamina, which optimizes settings to suppress power consumption – each of which can provide 2 hours of additional use. The auto-standby function puts the speaker into sleep mode after 15 minutes of inactivity. You can get 3 hours of playback time with a 10-minute charge.
Sony ULT FIELD 7 Review: ConclusionYou can get loud, wide sound from any reasonably priced Bluetooth speaker, especially one with the Sony logo. Why should you consider the ULT Field 7? Versatility.
The powerful sound quality and deep bass will definitely attract brand lovers. The design is heavy, but very rugged, providing a high level of protection during pool parties and outdoor gatherings. However, it’s the party features and portable charging capabilities that turn the speaker into an enjoyable and maintainable ecosystem, and make the ULT Field 7 a great portable speaker, even if it’s expensive.
